The consolidation of their own research team will be funded with the grant. For the evaluation of the researcher profile several benchmarks according to research domain and career development are taken into account.
The ERC Consolidator Grants are for researchers who have recently put together a research team and want to boost their role as research director (7–12 years after receiving their doctorate). ERC Principle Investigator Maria Rentetzi, Professor at the Technical University Berlin, is an internationally acknowledged historian of science and technology who runs a 2 million ERC consolidator grant (2019-2024) on the history of radiation protection and nuclear diplomacy.
